Guide to Lumas
Overview
Lumas are magical creatures featured in the game. When you find a Mysterious Egg, you can use a Luma Incubator to hatch it. Lumas have unique abilities, such as locating buried treasure chests and producing Luma Energy, which is essential for crafting profession-specific items. While treasure-hunting pets like dogs (earned by choosing the Treasure Hunter profession) or dogs and cats purchased from the Pet Shop can also help find buried chests, only Lumas can produce Luma Energy.

To hatch a Luma, you’ll need to use a Luma Incubator. Combine a Mysterious Egg with one of the five available Spirits to create Luma Life. Place both the egg and Luma Life in the incubator to bring your Luma to life.
About Luma Energy

Lumas produce 1 Luma Energy per day when fed with Luma Food. Additionally, petting them once a day grants one extra Luma Energy, allowing you to earn up to 2 Luma Energy per Luma daily. However, if you feed them Luma Power Food instead of regular Luma Food, they will produce Luma Energy without the daily limit—one for each feeding.
Luma Energy is required for crafting certain profession-related items but is only needed the first time you create the item. Subsequent crafting does not require additional Luma Energy.

To feed Lumas, hold the Luma Food in your hand and press the throw button (default: R on the keyboard).
There are two types of food you can give to Lumas:
- Luma Food: Made from easily obtained items like mushrooms or flowers.
- Luma Power Food: Purchased with Nature Tokens instead of regular coins. It bypasses the daily limit, allowing unlimited energy production per feeding.
Luma Power Food is available at Mr. Truffle’s Extravaganza Shop.

Lumas can be housed in Luma Nests, which can be placed on your farm. There are three nest sizes, each with a different capacity. To build a Luma Nest, purchase its Drawing from the Drawing Shop and gather the necessary materials. Refer to this page for the required materials.
When placing Lumas into a nest, they are usually selected automatically. However, you can pick a specific Luma by holding it in your hand and placing it directly into the nest. To remove a specific Luma from the nest, use the Bug Net.
Despite the name “Luma Nest,” you can also place dogs or cats into these nests.
If you place a Feeding Trough near the nest and fill it with Luma Food, your Lumas will eat from it even when you’re not around, continuing to produce Luma Energy automatically.
